Services Offered
Autism assessment/evaluation with adults
My Approach
I provide psychological assessment to adults in Pennsylvania. My specialization is Autism assessment with individuals ages 18 and older. I can also assess for co-occurring disorders in the context of Autism assessment (e.g., ADHD, mood, anxiety, trauma-related disorders).
I am passionate about Autism assessment and approach it collaboratively with my clients. I believe that you know yourself best, and so I prioritize your perspectives throughout the assessment. I do my best to deeply understand your experiences, strengths, and difficulties so we can work together to determine the best diagnosis and next steps for you.
Assessment with me begins with a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if I can provide the type of assessment you need. If we both decide to continue with the assessment, we have an initial 90-minute evaluation where we discuss your symptoms, mental health history, and assessment goals. We then meet for one or two 2-hour appointments to complete standardized testing. These sessions involve evaluation with evidence-based instruments (e.g., the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule [ADOS-2]), interviews with important others in your life when possible (e.g., parents, partners), and an evaluation of areas in your life where you may benefit from support. Afterward, we hold a final 1-hour appointment to review your results and discuss next steps that may be helpful for you. Email me at wtrustyphd@gmail.com to set up your free phone consultation.
